Lego engine running on vacuum cleaner power

This is my second implementation of a “steam” engine in Lego that is powered by my trusty vacuum cleaner. The engine’s top speed is just over 900 RPM. More information, and building instructions can be found here: anthony.liekens.net

Another vacuum powered lego steam engine. This time I made the valve and power stroke shorter and used some WD40 as lubricant. Turned out not too bad but should have made the conencting rods shorter to prevent the buckling which occurs at high speed.

The is the fist Lego steam engine that I built. it has 2 valves, a inlet and a outlet, ti release the vacuum when the piston is going down.
